We’ll see a dramatic increase in social presence between athletes, teams, leagues, sports and events. “Inside access” is what sports fans crave more than anything. Superstar athletes and team executives have realized this for the past few years, but as social media continues to grow in popularity, and mobile consumption is omnipresent, average fans will want access to their favorite athletes and teams even more.
Plus new sports and events can capitalize from online viewing. The trend will be for brand s to continue to adapt to this behavior and interact socially with the athletes, teams and properties they sponsor.
