Cheetos turned up the heat as they kicked off New York Fashion Week with the House of Flamin’ Haute Runway Show and Style Bar.
Taking cues from Cheetos-inspired looks and styles by fans online, The Marketing Arm partnered with Cheetos to put on the brand’s first ever runway show. While snacking on Cheetos-themed hors d’oeuvres and cocktails, attendees saw 21 looks curated by fashion influencers such as Luanna, Hungry Hipsters, Nava Rose, celebrity stylist J.Bolin, and celebrated costume designer Ami Goodheart.
Billboard Hot 100 rapper Saweetie showed off her own Flamin’ Haute look in a fiery red number and “Flamin’ Hot” hair barrettes as she performed her hit songs “Icy Girl” and “My Type.” Saweetie, who describes herself as a childhood fan of the Cheetos brand, said, “This is the first fashion week where I feel like I’ve finally got the hang of things and tonight is the perfect way to kick it off.”
After the runway show, fans were able to make appointments at the pop-up style bar for Cheetos inspired looks, where Chester Cheetah and a team of professional stylists worked to give them the ultimate Cheetos Flamin’ Haute look. With services such as Cheetah Tail Braids, Fiery Flamin’ Hot Eyes, Chester’s Ombre Kiss, and Caught Snacking Nails, fans were lookin’ like a snack in no time.
