Aspiring ad men and up-and -coming filmmakers, get your cameras ready– Crash the Super Bowl is back!
This year the stakes are even bigger. In addition to potentially winning a million bucks, the winner has a chance to work on a future Doritos project with Andy Samberg, Akiva Schaffer, and Jorma Taccone of the infamous Lonely Island !
So how does one win all that glory? From today until November 21st, participants can upload their homemade ads to the Crash the Superbowl site. Out of all the submissions, five finalist ads will be chosen in early January. While all five finalists will receive a cash prize of $25,000 and a trip to watch Supebowl XLVI in a luxury suite, only then will they learn which ad will air during the big game along with the Lonely Island ‘s commercial. If the fan created ad is able to top the Lonely Island ‘s spot in the USA Today ad meter, then the lucky Don Draper(s) in training will win a cool million and a chance to collaborate with the Lonely Island . If the Lonely Island ‘s spot tops the fan’s spot, Doritos will donate $1 million to the group’s charity of choice.
Last year’s spots were great, and this year’s addition of the Lonely Island certainly raises the bar. Make sure to submit your videos before the deadline, because you don’t want to miss out on an opportunity to work the geniuses behind d*** in a box.
