Many retailers use QR codes as a platform to take customers to a new destination on the web, but our holiday promotion for JC Penny used a different approach. Working under the banner of the brand  campaign “Who’s Your Santa”, our mobile team took advantage of the technology in a new way; by allowing customers to tag their gifts with a personalized voice message, all facilitated via 2D code. People are loving it, and  so far the promotion has been picked up steam on   PSFK,   Mashable, and  the   New York Times.
