The Marketing Arm to Connect Top Prospects & Brands the Night Before the NFL Draft

On the eve of the 2019 NFL Draft, The Marketing Arm (TMA) will host 25 of the most marketable draft prospects to interact with 15 of the top consumer brands at an exclusive event called CHOSEN. In addition to these connections, CHOSEN will provide the players with expertise around building their own brand and navigating the endorsement business – just as they are about to enter the world of professional sports.

“It’s great to be face-to-face with so many of the biggest brand names. They get to see your personality. It jump-starts your marketability,” said the Denver Broncos’ Bradley Chubb, who attended the inaugural CHOSEN last year.

TMA debuted this signature event at the 2018 draft. Attendees included Josh Rosen, Josh Allen, Sam Darnold, Bradley Chubb, and Derwin James. Throughout the event, players had the chance to meet one-on-one with representatives from leading consumer brands to better understand what future endorsement partnerships might look like.

“Given the strength of our position in sports and entertainment marketing, where we represent and advise brands in over 2,500 sports, entertainment, property, and talent partnerships annually, it’s gratifying for TMA to be able to share our expertise, and educate players and brands alike about what it means to embark on a relationship in the endorsement space,” said TMA’s CEO of Sports & Entertainment Jeff Chown. “Few, if any, other agencies can curate the top talent and the biggest brands together. Accomplishing this in a low-pressure environment — where all parties can be relaxed and open to new connections, opportunities and learnings — is great for all involved.”

About 150 athletes, agents, corporate brands, and celebrities are expected to attend CHOSEN in Nashville on April 24.
