TMA Cares hosts Pies & Pints: A Night with Miguel Cervantes

TMA Cares, The Marketing Arm’s internal volunteer initiative, hosted Pies & Pints: A Night with Miguel Cervantes on Sunday, July 29, raising more than $8.7K for Citizens United for Research in Epilepsy (CURE).

Our Chicago TMA Cares team partnered with Miguel Cervantes, the lead in Chicago’s Hamilton production and cousin of TMA’s very own Leeze Obregon, to create and organize Pies & Pints. Attendees were treated to a slice of Bang Bang PieHopewell Brewing beer, a meet-and-greet and musical performance by Miguel Cervantes and members of the Hamilton Chicago cast. There was also a raffle, which included a chance to win two of Miguel’s house tickets to Hamilton.

All ticket and raffle proceeds benefitted CURE, the leading non-governmental agency fully committed to funding research in epilepsy. CURE’s mission is to find a cure for epilepsy by promoting and funding patient-focused research. This organization is incredibly important to the Cervantes family as their daughter, Adelaide, was diagnosed with childhood epilepsy, which can lead to permanent learning disabilities and even death. In addition to starring in Chicago’s Hamilton production, Miguel and his wife use their talents to raise awareness and funding for epilepsy.
