As the world grapples with responses to COVID-19, celebrities have responded through advocacy, donations, entertainment, and in some cases, inspiration.
But, is now the time for aspirational celebrity marketing?
TMA’s Megan McMahon, VP for Celebrity and Influencer, weighed in on the subject with Adweek, saying brands and celebrities should be careful as to not come across as exploitative during this time.
“There are plenty of brands looking at those campaigns from a different perspective to see if they will work in a post-COVID-19 world… only time will tell.”
